Anyone making anything for the Oscars?

We are having a busy weekend... tomorrow going out for dinner with a couple of friends...

normally we would just stay home and watch a little bit of the Oscars, although I prefer to see the highlights only on the following day.

My stepson and his fiancee always make a big party to watch it, though - and their tradition is to get take out sushi of a great place in Los Angeles.

Is this a good place for dinner? And what, pray tell, is a double musky? Or a single one, in fact?!

 
Double Musky is probably the most well known and well loved restaurant in all Alaska. really.

It was on the Foodnetwork "Best of" show. We love it. no reservations taken though. the wait can be long. the owners are from Louisiana, I believe, and they have a "cajun" theme to some of their menu items. always an excellent meal and big portions---recommend sharing. look on the website for explanation of the name. can't quite remember.

 
Girdwood is where our big ski resort, Alyeska, is located. a really beautiful place to stay and

hike or pamper yourself. take the tram up to the top of the mountain for another great restaurant, 7 Glaciers. if only you had more time!
