Anyone making food for the Academy Awards? Ideas?

I want to bring something food/movie themed, to a friend's house to watch the awards, but shhh...I haven't seen any of the best pix films this year.

I thought about bringing my mom's chocolate pie (The Help), but my friend's husband is from the south, and a diabetic so thought that might be cruel, because if he is anything like me I can't stop at just one piece.

Any ideas for themed food?

 
I'd go with something half-baked, ill-conceived and over-hyped. Oh, the FOOD!? (Sorry, never mind.)

But "The Descendents"? Really!? It's nothing but a Lifetime movie starring Clooney and some pretty scenery. (Let the smack-talk begin.)

 
Steve, I have been meaning to tell you how much I love your tag on your posts

about the affairs of dragons. Now and then when we are visiting our adult children, hubby and I get into a kerfuffle. The grown kids like to interfere, usually sticking up for dad. Your tag is my come back to them. They always laugh and that ends our discussion.

 
This is a stretch, but a cute idea. "Black-and-Whites" (half-moon cookies) for

-The Artist
-Pineapple-Ham kabobs for The Descendants
-Tea Sandwiches for The Help
-Vodka Martinis (or anything in a martini glass) surrounded by a string of pearls for My Week with Marilyn

We'll probably just have a big bowl of popcorn with some cocoa ;o)
