Anyone read the Saveur sandwich issue? I'm laughing at one recipe for pickled chicken roll

because the first line of directions say, "Remove skin from (a whole) chicken in one piece;..." and follows with the rest of the recipe.

My favorite tortured food entry is Julia Child's chicken melon recipe where you so the same thing. But she gives two full pages of text and illustrations on how to accomplish this because it's tricky. And this entry in Saveur doesn't even warrant a full sentence. ((shakes head)

But I'm thinking of making the chicken melon for an early May picnic.

 
I'm good, thanks, not able to cook is hard but there is an advantage to having food blogger friends,

lots of yummy deliveries. I'm healing well and miss you guys.
