Anyone receive their Porthole order yet?

FRC: Anyone ever experimented with small batches of infused tea?

I love iced tea and want to start the infusing process in the morning to have iced tea varieties for lunch. What would you use to infuse 13oz of tea? Colleen

 
No, not yet, I'm excited to have it in my hands after so long

but I appreciate their frequent updates on their issues and progress.

What are you going to make first? I'm thinking tea, then infused vodka.

 
I've been squirreling away infusing recipes for the Porthole

We're getting ready to move so I really need to collect all of those recipes in one place so I can find them once the Porthole and move arrive! I think that I will be working on infusing oils along with my teas - I've been craving mint iced tea today. I already have a small container of Meyer lemon Limoncello marinating and plan to start up pineapple tequila in that container when I finish up the Limoncello next month. I want to make a batch of cinnamon vodka so I might use the Porthole for that. And I can't wait to find ways to use the Porthole with all of the fresh herbs and fruits soon to arrive smileys/wink.gif

 
Oh great ideas! I have some rather generic bourbon I want to use up

and am thinking of doing it with vanilla since that's a short infuse.

I want to make more fat washed bourbon but not in the pretty Porthole, it's such a greasy thing - LOL

Wish I could find some buffalo grass for vodka!
