Anyone remmeber that punchbowl punch from the late 60's made with lime sherbet & lemon-lime soda?

Lime Cream Cooler

Lime Cream Cooler

4 cups vanilla ice cream, slightly softened (1 quart)
4 cups lime sherbet, slightly softened (1 quart)
4 cups milk
6 oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate
6 oz can frozen limeade concentrate
2 cups water
4 cups ginger ale

In large punch bowl, stir together ice cream, sherbet and milk. In 1 quart pitcher, stir together lemonade concentrate, limeade concentrate, and water. Pour over ice cream mixture. Add ginger ale. Stir until slightly mixed. Makes 1 gallon.

 
Lemon Sherbert Punch

4 cups lemon sherbet
1 cup frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
3 cups warm water
ice cubes
lemon slices

Place sherbet in mixing bowl. Using mixer on low, add lemonade
concentrate and water. Mix well, 5 minutes. Refrigerate. Serve in
tall glasses with ice and garnish with lemon slices.

Foamy Lime Punch

2 .25oz. pkgs lemon-lime flavor unsweetened soft drink mix
2 qts water
2 c sugar
1 46oz can unsweetened pineapple juice
1 qt ginger ale, chilled
1 qt lime sherbert

Combine first 4 ingredients, mixing well, chil.

To serve, combine chilled mixture and ginger ale in a punch bowl. Drop sherbert by scoops into punch. Makes 4 qts.

Lemon Lime Punch

12 ounces frozen lemonade
12 ounces frozen orange juice
30 ounces pineapple juice
2 cups water, cold
1 quart soda water
2 quarts ginger ale
1 quart lime sherbet


Mix together lemonade, orange juice, pineapple juice, cold water, soda water and ginger ale. Pour into punch bowl.
Add the sherbet and stir for several minutes before serving.
Needs no ice cubes.

Orange Lime Punch

3 6oz cans frozen limeade concentrate, thawed and undiluted
2 6oz cans frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed and undiluted
1 8oz bottle lime juice
1 qt water
2 c sifted powdered sugar
1 qt light rum
1 pint fresh strawberries
1 33.8oz bottle club soda chilled
assorted fresh fruit, opt.

Combine first 7 ingredients, mixing well, chill. Stir in strawberries and club soda before serving. Serve over ice.
Garnish with fresh fruit slices, if desired.
Makes about 4-1/2 qts.

 
No, and I went looking in the dusty old books for it. I do remember a lime and 7Up mayo jellied

salad that I used to love.....being a child of the 60's.

 
Diann, here's another orange sherbert punch recipe for you to try.

Orange Sherbert Punch

3-1/2 c strong sweetened tea
1 12oz can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
2 1qt bottles gingerale
1-1/2 gals orange sherbert

Blend tea and orange juice concentrate together. Just before serving add gingerale and orange sherbert

 
Frosty Lemon/Lime Citrus Punch

2 (6-ounce) cans frozen limeade concentrate -- thawed
OR
2 (6-ounce) cans frozen lemonade concentrate -- thawed
3 cups cold water
2 (12-ounce) cans lemon-lime soda pop -- (3 cups) chilled
1/2 pint lime sherbet -- (1 cup) softened
OR
1/2 pint lemon sherbet -- (1 cup) softened

Mix limeade concentrate and water in large pitcher. Just before serving, stir in soda pop. Pour
into punch bowl. Float scoops of sherbet on top.
