Anyone used the new limited edition Ball Heritage blue canning jars?

They're great looking on their own but they'd completely disguise whatever was in them. Might be a

good thing but it will certainly limit your ability to appreciate the quality of the contents with a deep-blue tint on the jar.

I really like the way they look but I wouldn't use them for my preserves.

 
These days they use Mason jars for so many things. I'd use those as vases or storage, not canned.

 
A bar near my apartment uses them for certain "country-ish" cocktails and they are cute

but I'd rather have Weck jars any day.

 
pretty blue color, however I love the look of the canned product inside the jar

especially if you have a creative touch. I prefer the plain Mason or Ball jars and I especially love any hermetically sealed jar. I use them in my pantry and they look so pretty.
