Anyone using an iPad to view this page? Any tips on how to navigate?

I really wish there was an easy way to jump to the bottom of the page...

I just got the iPad (thanks hubby!), so I have a lot to learn, but you know this was the first site I went to smileys/smile.gif

Would love to hear your favorite apps!

my favorite app

which I use on both my MacBook, iPad and iPhone is: Omnifocus. I've attached a link.

My kids really surprised me for my birthday this year by pooling their money to buy me an iPad.

If you like to watch video on your iPad (big downside for both iPad and iPhone is NO Flash) the you are out of luck with Hulu unless you pay for Hulu+ or better - Netflix. But ABC has a nice app for viewing their shows that doesn't rely upon Flash.
If you like Comics/Graphic Novels - the iPad is awesome for this. Checkout the free Marvel app to get an idea.
In the food category I just downloaded the Food and Wine app a couple of days ago. The app itself is kind of clunky as apps go and to download an issue is a massive download but the articles, recipes, photos and video are very nice. Currently there is a free issue featuring Italian and some wine features.
For a magazine style app I like "MacLife" much better but unless you are really into Mac it may not be for you.
Also checkout the Fotopedia app. There are some extraordinary photos. Really beautiful and inspiring.
My wife and I like to Garage sale on Saturday mornings and I found a really kewl app called iGarageSale and it works as advertised (not all apps in the app store are all they are cracked up to be)
The iPad comes with iBooks but I would also recommend getting the Kindle for iPad. It's free and there are some great books available for Kindle both paid and free.
Regarding the scroll - that is a good point. Let me see what I can come up with. I've added it to my todo list (OmniFocus)

I love Handy Cookbook. I downloaded all of my recipes from

Mastercook and I have them with me all the time. Comes in handy in the supermarket when you can't remember what you need for a recipe. Also, when I visit family, and they want me to make something, I have the recipe. You can even email a recipe from it.

Thanks! I'll take a look at all of those!

So far I have Gourmet, Pocket Piano, a daily sudoku, game, Digi drums, Epi and a couple of others.

soo much fun!

definitely need a cookbook app, so I will probably download that Handy Cookbook. I don't have Mastercook, I wonder if there's an app that will convert Word files?

Another alternative if the files aren't compatible is Goodreader.

This is what I used before I got Handy Cookbook. You can transfer word files to that. It worked pretty well, but the cookbook app is really much nicer. I use Goodreader to keep lists of restaurants that we have visited or we want to try and any other info I want to carry with me. Another nice FR app is Grocery IQ. My friends and family call me the "queen of apps". If you want any suggestions for other useful ones, just let me know.
