Anyone watching Top Chef? I get a lil over whelmed when there are

still so many chefs in the kitchen....BUT, have to say that I was so impressed when Tom C called out to the group to ensure that they were using "tasting spoons"

(and not double dipping!!) (This was an earlier episode, I'm just catching up!)

Any thoughts on the show?

I'm watching too. Not sure about this season yet....

The Thanksgiving dinner for the Foo Fighters last week was interesting. However, it's getting more and more commercialized like how they changed the quick fire midstream so that they had to use Swanson broths. And keep showing the Cuisinart toaster ovens over and over and over. I GET IT!

This is the first season I'm watching, and it's a little unnerving. I love Project Runway and Top

Design, because these are things I could never do in a million years, but Top Chef hits too close to home.

It bugs me a little that they gather all this talent, then humiliate them with impossible "Gotcha!" moments that the best of us would fail at.

Not sure about this years cast? Although the tasks they are given are a bit over the top and would

throw most people off their game, as Tom C. has repeated several times--"working under pressure is part of the job".
Seems that's what trips up all the bottom three each week.
Poor decisions, the quiche from Jill, the bizarre s'mores?
What was Alex thinking, creme brulee in an hour?
The habaneros in the shrimp, bad move, people can actually get hurt with them! And I don't even think she warned the judges?
Tom asked the gal why she just did't turn the duck egg over? that was my thought, I was almost ready to yell it at the TV.She said she thought about it.
oh, well, have to admit I do enjoy it, although this year, some of the judges seem a little out there--Foo Fighters, Kathey Lee? somebody stop me!
