Dinner is just me and my boyfriend as I'm here in LA visiting. I have limited kitchen utensils.

Smoked Salmon rolled with Boursin cheese topped with capers

Stuffed mussels

cheese and olives

Main course Seafood Gratin (after I wash the dish from the spinach gratin I made so I can use the dish again!)recipe attached

Sauted spinach and garlic (yes we love spinach)or baked parmasean fennel (still deciding) open to suggestions for a side dish

Dessert is Heathers chocolate Pots of Creme (as he owns a blender and some mugs to put it in)

suz - I love spinach with seafood, so that would be my choice. We are probably having crab legs

I do them in the grill with drawn butter - simple and yummy!

We usually do appetizers for dinner on NYE - I love having little tastes. I do a lot of things from Trader Joe's if we go in that direction.

Just two of us as well...

The entree will be roasted duckling with carrots nearby...but I haven't the faintest idea what else I'll fix. Small quantities of whatever, surely!

As usual, we're workin' a little further South with our menu . . .

Hoppin’ John (for luck in the New Year)
Sautéed Cabbage with Ham (for money in the New Year)
Southern Fried Chicken(it's fried AND it's chicken!)
Country Cornbread (for delivering butter & honey)
Fried Okra (for the hell of it)

Pecan Pie & Whipped Cream (for stopping your heart)
Sweet-Tea, Dixie Beer (for washing it all down)
