Anything on the menu for Mother's Day?

I am thinking of doing Mediterranean; also purchased some herbs and planters

to make a lil herb planter for the mom's.

 
Weeeeell, hoping for a champagne brunch after a really......

good party...our DD is renting a villa ...with a built-in CHEF.....with 4 others who all have the same 40th birthday and so Sat evening will be a party, Sunday will be Brunch, Monday a beach day......it sounds too wonderful/none of us will need to cook at all.......and promises to rain all week-end smileys/frown.gif

 
The beach....

Thinking of taking mom to the beach. It was her birthday on Thursday (the big 9-0!) so already had lots of celebrating and with Mother's Day right around the corner, thinking of taking her to eat down by the water.

 
What a great idea Maria! You are very blessed to be celebrating her 90th! I am sure she has

wonderful stories.

 
Mom is 6 thousand miles away....

.... hubby's Mom passed away when he was only 16

I am not a "real" Mom, just a "step" smileys/smile.gif and all the kids are living in other states, so we don't have any celebration on the menu.

BUT I am going to bake a special bread tomorrow, that takes 3 days to make, I hope it will be awesome... it's from the book Local Breads, my first recipe from it.

 
Sally, being a step is just as hard as being a biological mom, if not harder!

You start off at a disadvantage, having to earn their love and trust. And even if the kids have moved on, you're still a mom.
