Fridge dies over Thanksgiving. Luckily it was still working when we got back from our trip, so no food was lost. Went to the ding 'n dent and got a new one, heavily dinged and dented.

Started Christmas baking: stove won't heat. Took forever to light... small flame... not reaching temp. Googled oven repair; figured it out. Found a $40 part that fixed it up just like new (phew!).

Microwave gave up the ghost yesterday. Not tragic, but melting chocolate and butter just got harder (and more messy)!

Cookie scoop (my FAVORITE 1 1/4") came apart. Went to the cake decorating store and bought one labeled, "1 1/4 Inch Scoop". Got it home. It's too small. Measured it; it's 1 1/8". Rats. No one has the size I need. (I'll make do. Not a tragedy, by any means.)

I am NOT asking, "what next?"

Seems like it always comes in streaks like that, usually before a holiday

or when you can least afford it or it causes the most inconvenience. (I'm sitting here listening to Bing & Rosemary sing "Counting My Blessings" in my head...)
