Are any of you able to get the roasted chickpeas crispy. No matter how I roast them

they're never really crisp. I've tried oiling before, oiling after and no oil at all. Are all these people fibbing when they say they're as crisp as peanuts?

Mine come out crispy on the outside

but still tender on the inside. I dry them off really well, toss with olive oil and then roast at 350. After ten minutes I shake the pan and let them go about another 10 minutes.

Mine come out crispy...but won't stay that way after a day.

I just put a little olive oil in a pan and use the canned ones, rinsed.

They really shrivel up. I used to do them in the oven, but found if I make too many, I eat too many and then all The Place Below Purgatory breaks out.

Especially when I sprinkle them on top of hummus-smeared whole wheat pitas.

Umm, with diced tomatoes and cucumbers.

...and lemon juice and cilantro.

...and that spice I got from the middle-Eastern grocery store.

Guess what's for dinner tonight?

You know it's been a long/bad day when I thought you said to 'blow' them dry - ROFLOL

I had to scroll back and look at it a second time - I could just see you sitting there with a hair dryer blow drying the chickpeas.....
