As you can see I need help organizing my spice cabinet...any ideas?

Here's what I do; perhaps someone will give me a better tip! : I got 4 clear plastic square

'boxes' at the grocery store.

I have the boxes in a 3-shelf cabinet

On the bottom shelf I have 2 boxes on top of each other. These are containing the spices I use the most and I have the bottles in the boxes in alphabetical order.

The remaining 2 boxes are on higher shelves with spices I don't use that much and they are in alphabetical order also.

I used one of these for years- excellent results. Some additional ideas here

First, dump anything you have had in that cabinet for a year. That ought to help a lot. I am harsh on myself in this regard because there are things I only use once or twice a year and the cost of buying fresh is worth it when I think of the space it takes....so, sometimes I give away whatever it is or I just get harsh and throw the little bottle after using it, knowing I won't need it again for a LONG time.

Another thing I do is to keep seeds (caraway, fennel, etc) and things like Juniper berries in my freezer in small bags. It makes a lot more space available in the spice cabinet.

I agree Cathy. I try as often as possible to buy in the tiniest size possible and

just buy more often so that they are as fresh as possible.

I have mine on one of those plastic carousel things.... otherwise, it looks the same smileys/smile.gif

OMG! We are twins! I use three of these in a corner cabinets AND..

mine are alphabetized too! How funny! But they really work, don't they.
