Asking a small favor...... (blog related)

I don't know if some of you here subscribe to my blog, but if you do, could you please let me know if notifications of new posts are reaching you?

also, while I was on my last trip, for some odd reason my site was being blocked by a Norton anti-virus program, which I think was related to the hotel connections. It was assigned as a dangerous, malicious site, which obviously it isn't

since I notice a very sharp drop in page views this past week, I'd like to ask if anyone is being blocked when trying to connect to it

here is a link to my latest post, let me know if there are problems with reading it

thanks so much!

I am now following. (This is new to me, subscribing to a blog) I always enjoy reading your linked blog

so will be fun! I had no problems with your link and subscribing.

Now, off to perusing your latests blog posts! : )

Sally, there is one new post, no problem opening it. I've seen the virus problem with other blogs.

Subscribed also and I also didn't know about this. I agree that red

bowl is genius and I must get one!
P.S. Does subscribing help you out in some way?

Thank you, and a few remarks...

I feel a bit awkward, I did not mean to ask for subscriptions, my lovely friends!

you are so sweet...

I was just puzzled by the sudden drop in page views, almost as if my blog fell off of some radar, or is blocked from search engines or something

since I got that situation in the hotel, I decided to check it out here.

As far as subscriptions helping me - well, they are good for my ego of course, but I keep my blog exclusively as a hobby, and have no intention of ever "monetizing it" - in fact, I pay a fee to Wordpress to keep my site ads-free. No pop-ups, no surveys, no offers, nothing will jump on the face of my readers.

so, the amount of traffic I get will have no impact on anything, I just don't like the idea that my site instead of gaining readers is for some reason losing them! smileys/wink.gif

Your blog shows your enjoyment of doing it. It's always a fun read

so I'm happy to do it. I think this means I'll receive an email when you post something new right? That's good for me and I get one from PW. She of course is so prolific in her posts it's not usually necessary but I like getting them.

I got in, no trouble. BTW, marionberries are superb little nuggets, tasting like a cross between

raspberries and blueberries. Love them!!

getting my notifications, including todays; no problems opening

I've been subscribed for a long time and get the updates. No problems accessing.

I also checked to see if your site is on any of the major blacklists and it is NOT. I ran a remote malware scan and got no negative results. Of course that is not the same as doing it on your server but a good sign.

For Mac a good start is ClamX. It is free but you can donate but typically Macs do not have anywhere near the level of virus problems as Windows.

For your local Windows computer, I recommend free version of Avast rather than (paid) Norton but either way Norton won't detect a lot of spyware and other types of non-virus problems in the form of various crapware, spyware, trojans, browser hijackers, ransomware...

For spyware start with the free version of Ad Aware by lavasoft.
