I don't have my own garden, and although I do make a lot of vegetable and fruit dishes, I'd like to give this book to one of you - it's specifically tailored to those who grow their own produce. It's a great book - not only does it have lots of great recipes and photos, but it includes tips on growing, harvesting, and storing your own vegetables, herbs, and fruit.

Great!! Thx! smileys/smile.gif I've been eating out of the garden mostly, this summer!

I have taken a couple of trips with my daughter. One to Seattle, Portland and Depoe Bay, Oregon. Stopped by to see my 93 yr old great aunt in Portland on the way and on the way back. She's a HOOT! Great lady! My daughter didn't remember her much but she fell in love as well. I was so glad to have the chance to spend time with her again. smileys/smile.gif We may go back in the spring.

I was thrilled to see I hadn't gained an ounce when I got back! YAY

Though we've been in severe drought this summer with temperatures in the 100's (miserable), our garden has flourished! My husband is a wonderful gardener.

We've had roasted veggies a LOT!! Roasted veggie rollups (in a tortillia) and roasted veggie PIZZA!! Oh, my!! smileys/smile.gif

I've canned and am still canning. Have more grape jelly to put up tomorrow. Relish will be before long. smileys/smile.gif Still have some from last summer so may not make the same kind or at least as much.

It's been a busy summer here!
