relationship with you. ;o) Let me explain....

Not long ago you posted about making Challah bread saying "if I can do it, so can you" and I immediately read it to John! Phffff, she doesn't know ME and what a yeast looser I am.......and John just listened. So on Friday he said he wanted me to print out the recipe and wanted to try it. Now, I had just finished having a glucose test and the overnight fasting which is difficult for me so wasn't feeling the best. I just said fine but I'm NOT having any part of this. He was all on his own!! Of course at some point I had to check in. I could see it was way to sticky and just sprinkled in a little flour at a time until it was good and had to explain to him that it is very humid for us and that he measured the flour correctly. It was a beautiful dough!!! He didn't have a clue how to braid so I did it. (I did 6) Wow! Wow! Wow!!! That is the first loaf of any kind of bread ever made in this house or any house I have ever lived in...EVER! It was delicious and we have had French Toast every morning. Hope is in the air........Thank you Deb!

LOL! I'm glad that it was a success!

I feel the same way about it as you:) Thanks for taking the time to share!

I now call him the Bread King and I have always shown him posts

by our great guy bread bakers here so now I'm telling him it's all up to him. Today I said I'd really like to have some focaccia so tomorrow he's making. I just won't come close to the yeast so not to jinx it.....

That is so cool, perhaps he'll find he really enjoys it and will keep it up. So nice his first

endeavor turned out well.
