sure I got the large container of sour cream because the recipe called for 2 cups.

Now I have NO CLUE what recipe I was going after. None.

I check out so many library books to scan/read that it could have been any one. I also get old magazines at the library so it could have been a Better Homes and Garden...or...Family Circle...or Martha Steward Living (doubt that, though...I don't trust her recipes anymore) or Southern Living. From any year. I also read the NYTimes daily and have learned to print off a recipe if I can access it.

aw bugger.

oh well...I just have to wait a few moments and I'll totally forget about this issue all over again.

OMG, you are a GODDESS! That's it! From the inn's website where I was trying to confirm the carrot

cake process steps. Search Engine Genius, that's what you are.

I wanted to bake the cake to celebrate my porch add-on. Final inspection is tomorrow and I need to wait until sign off before feeding everyone, else PBC (Pecan Bribery Charges) may be leveled against me.

Heartfelt hugs headed your way!

Congratulations on your Porch Add On....hope all goes well and all I can say is this was really

freaky.....I guess just meant to be.....LOL

My hometown has a pecan man and a tomato man

Tomato man picks in the morning. You walk up his driveway, pick out which bags on his table you want and push your cash through a slot in the shed wall on the honor system.

Yikes, other than a little less sugar, this is the same recipe, from 1967, my German friend's mother

I love this stuff.

Good .......another thing to add to my hips. Just my left hip, actually. I am blossoming unevenly.

It's definitely sweet, but not in a 'this actually hurts my teeth' kind of way. I think 2 cups of

sour cream balances that off. The texture of the cake is just lovely.

Sweet goes over big in this area.
