B & Bs in Napa

Well, I did a search and it appears no one has made any inquiries into B & B recommendations in Napa Valley. We've stayed at a couple, The Candle Light Inn and Daughters Inn, but would like to try something different. Does anyone have an experience they would like to share?

Also we will travel into S.F., but don't really want to stay in town. Looking for some recommendations just outside so we can travel into town for some dining.

Thanks

While we're waiting...my go-to guide is Fodor's. Here are their recommendations:

Gaige House Review

Gorgeous Asian objets d'art and leather club chairs cozied up to the fireplace in the lobby are just a few of the graceful touches in this luxurious but understated B&B. Rooms in the main house, an 1890 Queen Anne, are mostly done in pale colors, and each has its advantages. One upstairs room has wraparound windows to let in floods of light, for instance, while the lavish creek-side cottages feel Japanese, with massive granite soaking tubs overlooking private atriums. Magnolia trees shade the backyard, where there's a small but idyllic swimming pool and hot tub. Though the staffers are helpful, service never seems fussy, and there's a bottomless jar of cookies in the common area.

The Farmhouse Inn Review

Inside a pale yellow 1873 farmhouse and its adjacent cottages, this hotel maintains individually decorated guest rooms with comfortable touches such as down comforters and whirlpool tubs. Many of the cottages have wood-burning fireplaces and even their own private saunas, which make the accommodations especially inviting during the rainy months. The most romantic (and expensive) rooms are those in the newest building, finished in 2009 and built to resemble an old barn that was once on the property. With a chic rustic-farmhouse-meets-modern-loft aesthetic, the spacious rooms have king-size four-poster beds, spa tubs, fireplaces, and patios or balconies overlooking the hillside. It's worth leaving your supremely comfortable bed for the sumptuous breakfasts included in the rate.

I was there last fall. Stayed at the Wine Country Inn. Highly recommend it.

Stunning views. The rooms are great and breakfast is terrific. They even have a complimentary serve yourself mimosa & bloody mary bar.

Location-wise, it's just down the street from the Culinary Institute of America.
