Baked hard boiled eggs? Anyone ever done this? >>

Yes I did....

It is a very good method when you want to bake several eggs at a time. You need to tweak a little the timing, as eggs vary in size and ovens vary in performance. I use my Breville oven for it, as I cannot trust the big oven we have at the moment (that shall change! smileys/wink.gif

I liked the texture and they did peel very easily, which is another plus for me

Love my Breville....

... it saved our life during the year we lived in Los Angeles in a tiny kitchen without a stove or an oven... can you imagine?

I even baked sourdough bread in it - in my blog there is a post about it

Our Breville is about 6 years old now, and still going strong. It has some problems with the switch taking a few attempts before turning on, but other than that, it is pretty wonderful. We use it almost daily

I had that happen the first time....

.... then I avoided that problem by moving the eggs around after 5 minutes, and again 5 minutes later.

if they sit in the same position throughout the whole baking time those hot spots happen indeed
