Barbara in VA, you could be selling your jalapeno jelly based on the cheddar cookies.

I've have FIVE people ask for the recipe after the cookie swap plus the few I mailed up to Boston (in a box, wrapped in plastic, inside a zip lock bag so the cheese aroma wouldn't contaminate the cookies).

And to all, I tell them they must use home-made jam, not store bought jelly with preservatives.

I didn't refrigerate them. But they taste best fresh. Since they only take 15 min

to bake--and are wonderful slighly warm--and the dough is already made in the frig, I'd hold off if you can.

Fun, but busy...

We have 2 horses now (acquired from an older couple who could no longer take care of them. They are "older" as well, 16 and 21, with one of them being blind).

We also have 100 chickens we've been raising from chicks! They will be layers and we should start seeing eggs in early March, perhaps. Crazy!!!

And, for the final interesting development, we've been selling our baked goods at the local farmers' market! Saturday is the last market until spring, though, which should give us a nice break.

Thanks for asking (and sorry for the hijack!)
