Beef Short Ribs with Chili Rub

This was a recipe of Valerie Aikman-Smith's posted on Leite's Culinaria. Absolutely wonderful. The rub is ground coffee, chipotle chili powder, cumin and smoked paprika. Then the ribs are braised with sauted onions, garlic and jalaapenas in diced tomatoes and espresso with a couple of tablespoons of balsalmic vinegar. I can't tell you how good it was! Redefined short ribs for me!
