I'd make these like the original with red skinned peanuts, but here's the fancier version:

Deschutes Brewery's Beer Nuts

1 1/4 lb marcona almonds

1/4 cup molasses

1 tbsp sea salt

1/2 lb brown sugar, divided use

1 1/4 lb roasted salted cashews

Preheat oven to 350

Combine almonds in large bowl with molasses, salt and half of the brown sugar, spread on rimmed baking sheet & bake 10 minutes. Remove from heat & stir hot almonds into remaining brown sugar. Spread the nuts out & allow to cool. Toss with cashews. Makes about 10 cups.
