After the last few weeks, we want to concentrate on each other, not fussing in the kitchen. Ideas are fresh fruit, rolls, and usual juices and tea/coffee. I am thinking about blueberry-pecan strata, oven Denver omelette so things can be no-fuss. Maybe smoked salmon and potato breakfast casserole instead? Would crock pot overnight oatmeal be needs or way too much carb? And a ham as there will be 15 guests.

I love the idea of the salmon and potato dish. A little bit elegant, yet comforting

and unexpected. So many lovely berries, and other fruits that are in season now to enjoy. Whatever you serve it will be appreciated.

I would skip the oatmeal unless you have someone who has to have it.

It sounds wonderful and over-the-top, even if it is do-ahead.

Ha, it is cold and raining in So Cal!

After sleeping on it and now heading into Costco, I've decided to skip oatmeal and even the ham, but DH wants his usual turkey sausages. It's all good.

I like skipping the ham idea.....I like the sausage idea, so many good ones these days to pick from

if you have a good deli there in one of the better grocery stores, how about a platter of Calabrese Italian Salami, and some of the other types of salami, with a few good cheeses. These give big flavor, and richness. Have small rolls for those that want to make a sandwich. I like the unexpected at occasions like this...makes it fun, interesting, and you get to show your creative side.
Heather's suggestion of asparagus is great, it is in season and so good right now.
