Best Lasagna Ever!

This is exactly how I make lasagne except I add sausage and some fennel seed to the sauce. Great!

A little something that I do that brings my lasagne over the top....

I learned from that wonderful old book, "The Vegetarian Epicure". Saute diced onion and crushed garlic in olive oil ~ and add that, along with the parmesan and salt, to the ricotta. Makes the ricotta layer so good.

That is pretty much what I thought also--a pretty normal

recipe. I might use some tomato sauce/paste and definitely cook my meat sauce a bit. Plus putting the garlic in the ricotta layer like PInky. I'll ave to try sauteeing it. Sounds better.

That looks good

but I like to add red wine to my sauce and believe it or not, worcester sauce too! I really like the sauteed garlic and onion idea in the cheese-will have to try it.

the best yet is to add a goodly amount of full bodied red wine to the meat, & worcestershire sauce..

about a TBL spoon, add red wine to the tomato sauce too, cook till thickened and add galic and softend finely chopped onion and chopped parsley to the cheese.
Oh yum...this all takes a bit longer to make as each part requires longer cooking but Oh heaven...I use the no pre cook sheets....
