Hello, its been a little cold outside here in MI and I'm having neighbor family over for dinner tomorrow. Making stew and I am up waiting for it to cool to put in fridge. Thought I'd share the recipe. I serve it in the bread bowls. Delicious! (I made 1 1/2 times amount tonight, had to add a little more V-8 and cook longer)
2 1/2--3 lbs meat ( sirloin tip/round tip
bacon grease
2 cans cream of celery soup
2 T beef bouillon
1 24 oz V-8
1 bag mini-carots
2 onions
9 potatoes
1 box petite frozen peas, thawed
1 pkg onion soup mix
garlic powder
1 small box fresh mushrooms
Cut veggies and meat all about same size.
Coat meat with flour (1 cup flour to 1 tsp each
of salt, pepper and paprika. Brown in bacon grease. Mix all together and bake at 275 for 4 hours. (My stove tends to take longer than 4 hours, taste meat to see when done.)
