I pay over $6 for the 8 oz size at the grocery!!! Oh and the Costco ones were low sodium which I have never seen in the grocery.

Just finished my first jar of this product. It's good. Better than most, but...

...I still use Knorr powdered bouillon for certain recipes. Now, I keep both on hand.

Yes, I know what you mean. . . this product can be somewhat "sweet" at times. . .

Nothin worse than sweet soup. Knorr may be salty, but I just add less, but still get flavor.

I've used this for years- never noticed a sweet aspect

I don't depend on it to completely flavor a dish or stock- I just enhance with it and have never had this come up- I wonder why it would be sweet sometimes- I certainly think Better than Bouillon is the best of the commercial products I've tried. It is just too much work to make my own. I wish our Costco on Kauai carried it- I pay over $8/jar for it!

We used it at a restaurant where I worked. Yes, it tends to get too sweet. We mixed it

with 75% Better than Bouillon and 25% something else--other stock brand, vegetable stock, or my boss' secret, yellow Thai Curry Paste.
