O Shrimp

1 stick butter

1/4 cup olive oil

1 Tbsp. finely chopped garlic

2 bay leaves, crumbled

1 tsp. Italian seasoning

1 Tbsp. paprika, half sharp if possible

1 tsp. pepper

3 Tbsp. lemon juice

1 lb. shrimp, devein, but don't peel

Melt the butter and add oil, mix. Add all

other ingredients, except shrimp. Cook over

medium heat stirring until sauce begins to

boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about

10 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand,

uncovered, at room temperature for about

30 minutes. Add shrimp and cook over medium heat until shrimp start to turn pink--about

5 minutes, then put pan into preheated 450º F. oven and bake for 10 minutes. Serve shrimp with sauce and lots of French bread, a light green salad and plenty of napkins.
