I made this last night for "Calebs Crossing" by Geraldine Brooks bookclub dinner. (Along with dried fruits and nuts + cornbread + salad, for dessert raspberries and blueberries. Anyway, we LOVED the chowder. Best part is that it does not have a bunch of heavy cream (not that I don't LOVE heavy cream) but whole milk and fish stock instead.
