Braised Red Cabbage (Delicious!)

Had half a red cabbage doing nothing and decided to look for a hot dish. Will definitely make this again.

I used sherry vinegar which seemed to complement the other flavours well. Didn't have any bacon so I just used a mix of butter and oil. This dish would love to have bacon bits sprinkled over the top.

I love braised cabbage, have not tried it with the red, the sherry vinegar sounds great.

sounds like the red cabbage I grew up with and still make. throw in some chopped apple if you have

have one lying around. lovely addition. and a few rounds of allspice if you feel a bit spicy.
