Bread Bakers...Power Bread!!! Delicious and healthy too!

I'll second this....and am adding another recipe

Peter's Power Bread is TDF!
I make it a couple of times a year, and always do a loaf and some rolls, since they are fantastic for sammies.
I vary the dried fruit-love using TJs dried blueberries or cranberries in it!

Another fantastic recipe that I found at the KA Baking Circle (where I found Power Bread) is Moomie's Burger Buns. I've linked the recipe; they are wonderful, for sandwiches, burgers or made smaller, as dinner rolls.

Do either of you know if this is comparable to Einstein Bagel's "Power Bagel"?

It's actually a little loaf (as opposed to a round bagel with hole) and is one of my absolute favorites!

Marilyn, don't know but I doubt it...

To my knowledge, I don't think this recipe has even been published in any of his books,so far. I could be all wrong about that(it wouldn't be the first time! LOL!). All I know for sure is: this recipe rocks!!!Steph

I hope to try it this weekend. 10 years ago I used to be able to buy

small loaves from California called "power bars" and the one at Einstein is just like it. Full of raisins, sunflower seeds and chewy. Toasts beautifully.

Thanks again. Keep your fingers crossed that I don't screw up my 1040 tax return and end up doing them at midnight on Sunday instead of trying out this recipe.

In the northeast, we luck out

and don't need to have our tax returns postmarked before midnight on the 18th!
Our IRS office is in Massachusetts, and Monday the 17th is a holiday here in Mass, so our taxes aren't due until the 18th!

Anyone need for me to toss a return at the IRS as I pass the office on my way to work on Friday? (Or Tuesday?)
