Burned the sausage this morning...now the house reeks. Bleck.

Amanda, I remember when my second son was overdue I thought I would

prepare one last meal before I was induced. It was a fluffy omelet that I made in a cast iron skillet and finished in the oven. When it was ready, I opened the oven, reached in with a hotpad, grabbed the handle -- too hot!! Surprise at the heat sent the omelet into the air and down to the floor face down. MIL was laughing.... I wasn't.

Just think Amanda...this time next year.... (NFRC!!!)

You'll be looking so forward to the holidays with your sweet babe.

I know the last while is so miserable!! With my last daughter (at age 34, no less) I was due on Christmas Day. I'd been dialated to 3 since Thanksgiving and I was one miserable...mama! Even now, when I look at the photos of that Christmas, the feelings come flooding back! The feeling of that baby's head nearly hitting my knees (well...it FELT like it!!) is so evident in my pained expressions! I was HUGE!!!
I had Katelyn on Dec 27th and in 3 hours time from start to finish. Owie, it was intense but over quickly!

Most of we mothers on here can sorely (pun intended!!) relate to where you are and are sending you sympathy!

Soon it will be over and you will begin the JOY of motherhood!!!

My prayers for a quick and safe delivery!

I've forgotten your due date. Sorry!

Blessings, hon...it really will be over soon! smileys/smile.gif

Thanks for the encouragement!

I'm looking forward to the next stage of things, sleep-deprivation and all.

Last year my friend had a baby in December--her labor was 20 minutes long--I kid you not. They barely got her to the hospital in time and even then she never even made it onto the delivery bed.

My due date is January 11. I'll keep people here posted...
