Get one built, have flatware installed on hooks/pegs and. . .
When you need to clean, throw it in the dishwasher!
And if yer were really swift, have the made so that can be broken down, hung on hooks on the frame that holds the lights and you could throw the rack in the dishwasher too!
My biggest problem would be to get the hubby type person to cough up the money for the fixture in the first place. And cough he would, like a cat with a hairball. . .
