Can anyone help me out to the link for the 'make your own cookbook' thread?

I've searched using the words "cook book" and "cookbook"... no luck!

I'm making my girls a cookbook for Christmas and need ideas... THANKS!

 
WAIT!! I just found it at #2877... now I need help...

I am almost done retyping recipes, and have found pictures for about half of them. I plan to print them out on lightweight card stock and insert them into the clear holders, which will then go into a 3-ring binder. I'm going to do a photo to slip in the front of the binder. I have 'substitutions' and 'helpful hints' pages.

Any other suggestions?

 
Make sure you have a table of contents. Maybe your own little comment

about each recipe on each page? Or scrapbook-type little cut-outs throughout the book?

'Sounds like a nice present! People will enjoy the time and thought you put into it.

 
I just discovered WordPerfect does automatic TOC! Not only that, but...

it actually makes each item a hyperlink that will pop you down the page to the recipe. Not that I need that for the book... but I will also give each girl the whole cookbook on disc and that will be a nice perk. I had originally planned to make little handwritten notes and comments - glad you reminded me!

It's been a huge amount of work/time, but I'm enjoying it all smileys/smile.gif
