Can I add 1/2 C of peanut butter to a box brownie mix w/o screwing it up?

I've got to make a quick dessert tonight and will be adding a peanut butter icing to the top of the brownies. But I'd also like to boost the base brownie flavor with PB and PB chips.

On the other hand, I don't want to mess up a sure thing.

(starring John Cusack...one of his best).

On the "other" other hand, I want a PB explosion of sorts.

I've swirled PB and nutella thru and added more chips without issues - you should be fine
