Can I freeze a chicken liver pate?

It's basically chicken livers, butter, onion sherry and spices, and much too good to let spoil, but there's too much for DH and me to finish off quickly.

 
You can, but the texture may suffer when defrosted. I know country-type pates that are more like

meatloaf have a damp, unpleasant texture after being frozer--better to freeze them raw and bake when needed.

This one, because of the high butter content, will probably fare a little better.
