Can I make a chocolate ganache icing using white chocolate?

Amanda, white chocolate burns quicker, so you just have to be careful with that aspect.

Also...the better the chocolate, the better it will taste. I like Lindt white, but it's a little harder to find.

Same ratios of cream to chocolate, just a lower temp to melt in microwave.

 
Ok, I tried this and it so totally didn't work. Complete failure as a ganache.

It just never got thick enough for a ganache. What I'm looking for, I guess, is a white glaze for this cake, but somewhat thicker than a regular glaze. Maybe I'll have to experiment. Maybe a confectioner's sugar glaze?
