I've been asked to bring a sweet potato dish for Thanksgiving, and I need to make it on Wednesday. Can I cook the potatoes in the dutch oven as suggested, then refrigerate? Also, I'd like to put the sauce together, but leave out the nuts, until Thursday, at which time I would put the whole dish together to cook/heat.http://www.foodreference.com/html/c-sw-pot-c-807.html

Over the years, I have used both fresh yams as well as canned. Similiar to the blog, I use the ricer, and have wonderful results. With this recipe, you can definitely make on Wed and cook on Thurs. Just keep it out a while to go to room temp prior to cooking. I have never added the marshmellows.
