Can Linzer cookies be filled the night before use without getting soggy?

i did some last night and they are fine. I put just a thin bit of jam on the edges and most of the

dollop in the center of the cookie. Just enough on the edges to hold the cookie together. I use the Ina Garten shortbread recipe for the cookie part and bake till a bit browned and crispy.
