Can one freeze Oreo truffles? I've not made them, am considering making ahead and freezing.

Marsha, I haven't frozen then, but I tested them in the frig for 3 months and they were fine.

I found a small box of them in the frig after the mega-baking Christmas event of 2004 and decided to see how long they would look/taste viable. After 3 months of visual inspections, I tasted one and it was fine. I mean, you're coating the entire surface of your tongue in sugar and fat (albeit it mighty tasty sugar and fat) so it really doesn't stand a fighting chance. I figured that exercise was over at that point.

Actually scared me a bit, but there you go. I used dark Belgium chocolate to coat/seal rather than melted chips.
