Barb, I love this can opener - it's the best! I got tired of struggling with the lousy cheapie ones

A coworker (male) swears by this one by Pampered Chef. It cuts "around"

the side of the molded metal can rim and turns it into a lid...with no sharp edges.

Pretty slick, but I'm not running out and buying one.

I have the Pampered Chef one too and love it...(video inside)

I was sick of having an electric can opener sit out so got a manual one. Apparently there is a newer version out than the one I have (see video), but it's the same idea.

I've used the basic hand held Swing-A-Way for most of my married life (50 years)

tried an electric can opener once and hated it. The hand held one, fits in a drawer, takes up little space and is not noisy.
