Can you change the posts to read latest first?

No, sorry, no way to do that at the moment.
It actually was newest posts on top "out of the box" in the beginning, but we custom programmed it to have the newest posts at the bottom, to be like the old forum.
I can, however, totally sympathize with your wanting to use the forum on your phone. I'm constantly lamenting that so many websites don't play nice with my phone.
I have no real say here anymore except to kick out spammers. There is a plan to upgrade the forum at some point, but it was put on hold last winter, and I'm not sure what's going on with it now. Feel free to use the Contact Us link to email the site owners with requests.

FWIW, I *seriously* believe that web designers everywhere need to start taking iPhones and other...

And the issues that phone users encounter are very often the same issues encountered by the blind or visually impaired and those with motor impairments who are unable to use a mouse. A site built to work well for one group will work well for the other. As a person with a disability, and a frequent mobile Internet user, I really take this seriously.
Sadly, most of these "legacy" sites need to be totally rebuilt to do that. My hands are just tied with this site, though.
