The Carvel Ice Cream Company's

advertising on the east coast featured several characters who were "spokes characters" for the company in their advertising. They all had very "distinctive" voices. Cookie Puss was the worst! If I'm remembering correctly, he was a blue cat that looked as if he had his tail inserted into an electrical outlet with a voice to match. LOL My roommates and I all did impressions of Cooky Puss "HI!!! I'm COOKIE PUSS!" To annoy each other. LOL
