Canning Apples and Tomatoes With Friend Who Lost A Canned Apple Pie Recipe

My friend and I are canning tomatoes and apples for the winter. The canning companies are beginning to add a new chemical to make their canned products last longer.

Neeway, she had a recipe for canned apples with all the ingredients for an apple pie, so all you have to do is make a crust, and pour your canned apples in and bake until hot.

Anyone ever heard of that?

I have made it before and it was good. It had too much sugar

in it for my liking, but it did taste good. I like more fruit to sugar ratio in apple pie. Here is the link for the recipe at HomeCanning.com. There is a lot of helpful information at that site. Have fun!

That looks like good recipe, but like you I'd cut down on the sugar too.
