Hi all. I've been hard at work on this nationwide program called "Canning Across America."
We secured some product from Ball & gave a handful of bloggers home canning kits as giveaways. I had great success with a give away recently and tied it to a question. I suggested they may want to do the same and questions came forward along the lines of, "Why do you want to start canning?" One woman responded: So I can feed my family better and spend less time on the computer...
The response has been overwhelming and if you get a chance, or are looking for some new canning blogs to hit your radar, here's a few worth checking out (Marisa from Food & Jars sent me this list) :
Audra from Doris and Jilly Cook (http://dorisandjillycook.com/)
Laura from Tigress in a Jam/Pickle (http://tigressinajam.blogspot.com/)
Katy from Pickle Freak (http://www.picklefreak.com)
LeAnn from Lelo in NoPo (http://www.lelonopo.com/)
Kim from Culinate (http://www.culinate.com) I realize this one isn't a personal blog, but they offer some of the best canning content around.
Mariss McClellan (http://www.foodinjars.com/)
Eugenia Bone (http://blogs.denverpost.com/preserved/)
