great! DH had brought home a roasted chicken(he keeps buying food for me that he can't eat and then I am stuck with tons of leftovers) and I had all but a leg and thigh leftover. Soooo I thought, why not pop it into the crockpot with the beans etc and voile(sp), yummy fragrant cassoulet! I tweaked a bit by putting in a bit of thyme and a small can of spicy tomato juice(ran out of chicken stock) because the roasted chicken did not give off as much juice as a raw chicken would have. It was still plenty tasty. Thanks for a wonderful easy and economical recipe.

 
Since the chicken was already roasted, I cooked for only about 4 hours. so good with the sausage.
