Cavatelli Maker

I recently read a blog that featured ricotta cavatelli made with a cavatelli maker! The machine looked simple to use and made quite a few of the cavatelli. The author or the blog said she purchased her machine on Amazon. I did a search and immediately became confused. The average price is about $45.00. The machine clamps onto a table or counter top and looks like a meat grinder; the handle turns like an old-fashioned pencil sharpener. Some makers have plastic gears that the pasta is churned through and other have wooden gears. Anyone use one of these machines and can give me some advice? Thanks to all! I included the link to Amazon.http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_15?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=cavatelli+maker&sprefix=cavatelli+maker

I bought one at a yard sale years ago but never took the time to

figure out how it works. Naturally there were no instructions. Still have it. I only paid a couple of bucks--try yard sales
