Olga's Orange Cookies - Also from an old-world recipe, flavored with fresh-squeezed minneolas and the finely-zested rind. Soft and sumptuous. Frosted with a rich buttery-orange-lemon icing.
The name is made up. Cookies are from the "Cookie Queen" from the Pittsburgh area. She sells them. A friend who used to live in that area loved them and I'd like to make him some. You can see a photo of them (under her COOKIE link) in a list of cookie assortment that she sells. It's the round one with icing on the far right side.
For personal reasons, my friends refuse to support this woman; they won't buy her cookbooks or order directly from her. That's why I'm trying to find a substitute recipe since this was his favorite.
PS: I've already checked our Olga's Ukranian website. No luck.
