Charlie, that Old Fashioned Beef Stew smells deeeee-vine. I am taking it to a friend's house (very sick DH) along with an orange & onion salad and Cyn's wonderful fudge-topped brownies (that I have made over and over again and just love.) I made extra stew for our dinner tonight. I was not able to find parsnips but I put potatoes, extra garlic and even some green beans in.

Both were a hit- and Charlie, that stew is delicious
...of course (because I cannot leave anything alone) I tweaked as I went along but it didn't need tweaking. I added red wine, green beans,more herbs and extra garlic. I know I will make it again with parsnips. Very tasty indeed. My DH ate a huge portion for dinner.
