We got there in the late eighties and it was already much more expensive that we should have spent.

What an amazing menu.

PS: A local "farm to table" restaurant here had fresh trout for dinner at $37. That DID not include appetizers, dessert or Jeremiah Towers.

It is amazing isn't it?

Cincinnati Magazine recently featured menus from the high falutin' now closed restaurants in the city.

The menu of our former 5-star Masionette ( the longest running 5-star restaurant in the country) had entrees for $6 in 1970.

Last time we visited Masionette before their ignominious collapse, that $6 entree was $46.

But the Frisch's Big Boy Platter (double decker cheeseburger, fries, and cole slaw) was a steal at $1.25 in 1970. And you could add a chocolate malt for $.50!!!
