Check out this cookbook(s) coming out next month. With a discounted $467.62 price tag.

But it's marked down from $625!

Don't you just love that "sale" technique.

Looks very interesting though.

I'll wait for the library to get it.

They originally were going to charge $1500 for it. The lab is near my home & a friend of mine worked

on the book. It's been several years in the making.

I've been slavering over this collection since its publish date was announced. Think I'll wait for

the paperback version so I can pick it up without a fork lift (4 lbs of ink in each collection!) and pay for it without selling the mineral rights to the farm.

NO cookbook is worth that... UNLESS it comes with the guy in the video and he cooks for you *g*

My friend in Seattle has already ordered his book and is going to the launch next week.

He says he's already cooked from it (guess a sample recipe was available on the book's website) and blogged about it. He is Very Excited about it.

His name is Jeth Odom. I asked if he knew you, but haven't heard back yet.

I went to college with Jeth. He's really gotten into cooking in the past year and is always doing very avant-garde stuff. He has a blog--I'll ask him if it's ok to post a link to it.

I don't think I know Jeth, but a lot of people know me through Twitter or my blog. I have this idea

that nobody reads my stuff and then I bump into people who do and I'm shocked! I visited a book store in SF and this woman rolled her eyes and said, "Of course I know you!" Uh, okay. I had no idea.

I'd be curious to hear what he's up to. I have friends working at Alinea & have met with David Chang
